What Warranties Are Offered On Generator Installations?

Our Generac Generator installations come with a 10-year bumper-to-bumper warranty which includes labor. Super Fast Electric also backs every job with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Read more about our guarantee in our FAQ section.

How Much Does Generator Installation Cost?

A typical whole-home Generac install in Central Florida runs $12,500 to $16,000 for most homes. That range does not include the cost of your fuel source (natural gas line or propane tank setup). Our Generator Installation Services

When you hire Super Fast Electric, you get a full service install from a licensed electrical contractor, not an equipment-only purchase that leaves permitting, wiring, and utility coordination to you. Our standard whole-home generator installation include:

Load Calculation and Sizing

A full electrical load calculation to determine the correct generator size for your home.

Generator Supply

Generac is our primary line as an Authorized Dealer; we install other major brands on request.

Automatic Transfer Switch

Installation so the generator starts the moment grid power drops and switches back when power returns.

Electrical Connections

All connections to your panel, including integration of multiple main breaker panels where applicable.

Permitting

Handled entirely in house. You do not chase paperwork.

Utility Coordination

Coordination with Duke Energy and other power suppliers for the electrical interconnection.

Inspection, Startup, and Commissioning

Final inspection, startup, and a walkthrough so you know exactly how the system behaves.

Our Process

  1. Consultation and load calculation (Week 1). We learn what you need backed up, confirm your fuel source and appliance setup, and perform a load calculation.
  2. Quote and generator sizing (Week 1 to 2). We size the generator to fit your home and provide a clear quote with cost drivers explained upfront.
  3. Contract, deposit, and permitting (Week 2 to 4). We collect the deposit, pull permits in house, and begin utility coordination. Financing is available.
  4. Equipment order and scheduling (Week 4 to 8). We order your generator and schedule the install around the permit and equipment timeline.
  5. Installation, inspection, and startup (Week 8 to 12). We set the generator and transfer switch, complete the electrical connection, pass inspection, and commission the system with a full walkthrough.

Authorized Generac Dealer

As a Generac Authorized Dealer, Super Fast Electric also sells genuine Generac units to homeowners who plan to install the equipment themselves or use a third party. In that path, we supply the generator but do not perform the installation.

For most homeowners the turnkey install is the better value, because the load calculation, transfer switch wiring, permitting, and utility coordination are exactly where DIY projects go wrong. Not sure which path fits? A quick consultation will tell you whether a full install or an equipment purchase makes more sense.

Why Choose Us

We have built our reputation one job at a time across Central Florida, and the results show:

Every job we perform is conducted by a licensed electrical professional. Our team stays current on National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) requirements for optional standby systems and transfer equipment, Florida amendments, and local permit rules so your installation reflects the standards that actually apply to your property, not outdated ones.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does generator installation cost in Central Florida?

A typical whole-home Generac installation runs $12,500 to $16,000 after installation. Your final price depends on the generator size from your load calculation, your fuel type, how far the generator sits from your electrical panel, and how many main breaker panels your home has. We provide a clear quote after the on-site load calculation.
Most installations take 6 to 12 weeks from your first call through a finished, inspected system. That window covers the consultation and load calculation, your custom quote, the signed contract and permitting, equipment ordering, and the install, inspection, and startup.
That is determined by a load calculation, not by square footage alone. We assess your essential loads, including air conditioning, well pump, and refrigeration, and account for whether your appliances run on electric or on gas. Homes with gas or propane appliances often need a smaller, less expensive generator.
Yes. We pull all permits in house, so you do not have to manage paperwork. We also coordinate directly with Duke Energy and other power suppliers for the electrical interconnection.
We coordinate the electrical side, including the interconnection with Duke Energy. The natural gas or propane fuel line is arranged through your gas provider.
Yes to both. A deposit is required to begin the project, and financing is available if you prefer to spread the investment over time.
Yes. As a Generac Authorized Dealer, we sell genuine Generac units to homeowners who plan to self-install or use a third party. In that purchase-only path we supply the equipment but do not perform the installation.
Generac is our primary line as an Authorized Dealer, and it is what we install most often. We can also install other major brands on request.
Four main factors determine your final price: the size of the generator (set by a load calculation based on what you need to keep running), the distance from your electrical meter to the generator pad, the number of main breaker panels in your home, and your fuel source. Homes with multiple panels can add a few thousand dollars per panel. The $12,500 to $16,000 range covers the generator, transfer switch, electrical work, and permitting but does not include the cost of your fuel source setup (natural gas line or propane tank). Financing is available.
We serve 20+ Central Florida communities including Orlando, Altamonte Springs, Alafaya, Apopka, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Lake Nona, Longwood, Maitland, Oviedo, Sanford, Winter Garden, Winter Park, Winter Springs, and surrounding areas.
